"Signal" was a magazine published by the Wehrmacht (armed forces) of Germany from 1940 through 1945. It was a modern, glossy, illustrated photo journal, meant specifically for audiences in neutral, allied, and occupied countries. A German edition was distributed outside of Germany, but not distributed within Germany proper. Published fortnightly in as many as 25 editions and 30 languages, at its height it had a circulation of 2,500,000 copies. A U.S.A. edition was published until Dec. of 1941
